Notification Settings

Notification Settings

Rubric sends two types of push notifications. Both are off by default and fully configurable.

Notification Types

NotificationNicknameWhat It ContainsDelivery
Daily Audit”The Receipt”Yesterday’s Rubric Score out of 99, the largest deviation from your targets (calories, sleep, or activity), and your protocol status (on track, breach, or pending).Daily, at your chosen time
Weekly Report”The Summary”Your adherence percentage and letter grade for the week, plus a count of any material deviations.Sundays, at your chosen time

If your data was incomplete for a given day, the Daily Audit will note that the score was withheld due to insufficient data.

How to Configure

Navigate to your Profile, then tap the Notifications section. You will find:

  • Per-notification toggles. Enable or disable the Daily Audit and Weekly Report independently.
  • Delivery time pickers. Set the time you want each notification delivered, in your local timezone. The default for both is 8:00 AM.
  • App icon badge. A separate toggle controls whether the Weekly Report adds a badge to the Rubric app icon. This is enabled by default.

What You Miss With Notifications Off

Nothing is lost. Your Daily Scores and Weekly Transcripts are always available in the app. Notifications are reminders, not the data itself. If you prefer to check on your own schedule, disable both and open the Dashboard when it suits you.

If You Declined iOS Permissions

When Rubric first asks for notification permission, if you tap “Don’t Allow,” the in-app toggles will have no effect. To fix this, go to your iPhone’s Settings, then Rubric, then Notifications, and enable “Allow Notifications.” Once iOS-level permission is granted, the in-app controls will work as expected.
