URL Sharing with the Coach
URL Sharing with the Coach
Paste a link into the Coach chat — a restaurant menu, a recipe, an article — and the Coach analyzes it against your profile and goals.
How it works
Type or paste a URL directly into the Coach chat, along with your question. The Coach fetches the page content, reads it, and responds with recommendations specific to your situation — your calorie target, your macros, your allergies, your remaining budget for the day.
You can include up to two URLs in a single message. The Coach works with most standard web pages, though pages behind login walls or paywalls cannot be fetched.
What you can paste
| What You Share | What the Coach Does |
|---|---|
| Restaurant menu | Recommends specific dishes that fit your calorie target, macros, and allergy profile |
| Recipe page | Estimates the nutrition breakdown and suggests modifications for your goals |
| Fitness or nutrition article | Summarizes key points and relates them to your current data and protocols |
A concrete example
You are going out to dinner. You have eaten 1,100 calories today. Your target is 1,800. You are allergic to shellfish.
You paste the restaurant’s online menu into the Coach chat and ask: “What should I order?”
The Coach reads the menu, cross-references it against your remaining calorie budget and your allergy profile, and responds with something like: “The grilled chicken salad is estimated at around 450 calories and keeps you under target. Avoid the seafood pasta and the shrimp appetizer — both contain shellfish.”
No re-explaining your allergies. No re-entering your calorie target. The Coach already knows.
Privacy
URL content is transient. The Coach fetches the page, processes it, and discards it. The page content is never stored in your conversation history, your profile, or any database. Only the URL itself — not the page content — is logged for debugging purposes.
Rubric does not track your browsing activity. Sharing a link with the Coach is no different from pasting text into the chat — it is processed in the moment and not retained.
Limitations
- Pages behind login walls or paywalls cannot be accessed.
- Very long pages are truncated. The Coach works with the extracted text content, which covers most standard web pages.
- Up to two URLs per message. Additional links in the same message are ignored.
- If a page fails to load (timeout, server error), the Coach responds based on what it does have — your question and your data — without the URL content.
