Appearance & Preferences

Rubric supports dark mode, light mode, and system-matched themes, plus a toggle for haptic feedback.

Theme

You have three theme options, accessible from Profile in the Appearance section:

Option	Behavior
System	Matches your iPhone’s current appearance setting.
Light	Forces light mode regardless of system setting.
Dark	Forces dark mode regardless of system setting.

Tap the theme control to cycle through the options. The change applies immediately.

Haptic Feedback

Rubric uses subtle haptic vibrations to confirm key actions: committing a food entry, completing a protocol day, closing a log. These provide tactile confirmation without requiring you to watch the screen for visual feedback.

The haptic toggle is in the same Appearance section on your Profile. Turn it off if you prefer a silent experience.

This follows Rubric’s “Physics over Semantics” design principle — physical feedback for physical actions, rather than animations or text confirmations.
